Hearing of the New Commissioners

The preparations for the hearings of the candidates for new European Commissioners are culminating in the European Parliament's committees in Brussels. The Committee for Employment and Social Policy, in which I am involved, is preparing itself for Vladimír Špidla. It will not be easy for him to win support in the European Parliament.
