J. K. Rowling A few months ago, following the recent publication of the Sunday Times scandalous report on the social institution at Raby, in Pardubice Region, I have invited Miss Rowling and Baroness Nicholson, member of the European Parliament, to personally visit the Czech Republic and the institutions at Raby.

I have not yet received a reply to my letter from Miss Rowling. Baroness Nicholson replied to my letter only in late spring.

Today, I have personally met with Baroness Nicholson in the European Parliament. I have informed her of my views on the media affair. I find it disgraceful that not only the British press, but even celebrities, such as the popular writer Miss Rowling and moreover the member of the European Parliament, criticized the sacrificing work of the people at Raby.

Furthermore, I am dissatisfied that neither lady replied to my invitation to personally visit Raby, for a long time, while they were brisk in reacting to the article in the British press.

Baroness Nicholson promised me that she will reconsider the whole situation and apologized for her late reply. I have repeated my invitation to Czech Republic, particularly the social institution at Raby, to which I now await her decision. I believe that it would be an honor for the employees of the institution to convince Baroness Nicholson that her criticism was unjustified and that the care for the children and other residents of the institution at Raby is of good quality and comparable standard not only to the British institutions, but also to all others in the European Union.
