On Wednesday the 13th of September 2005, a seminar devoted to the problems of oncology in the member states of the European Union took place in the premises of the European Parliament. I gladly accepted the patronage over the seminar as well as participation in its organization.

The proposed Optical Radiation Directive has a long history. It was created approximately twelve years ago and was passed in the first reading in the European Parliament already in 1994! European officers have been working on the final form until now.

The report of Françoise Grossetête (F), Vice-Chairwoman of the EPP-ED Group in the European Parliament, on medicinal products for paediatric use was adopted by the plenary.

The European parliament will vote on a new regulation on medicaments for children today. The new legislative text is beneficial for medics specializing on children patients, and of course especially for the children.
